Preparatory work
– Check the rear brake linings. ( p. 103)

– Stand the vehicle upright.

Remove screw cap

and the O-ring.

Add brake fluid to level

Brake fluid DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 ( p. 158)
– Mount the screw cap with the membrane and the O-ring.
Info
Clean up overflowed or spilled brake fluid immediately
with water.

Danger of accidents Worn-out brake linings reduce the braking effect.
– Ensure that worn-out brake linings are replaced immediately. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be
glad to help.)

» If the minimum thickness is less than specified:
– Change the rear brake linings. ( p. 103)
– Check the brake linings for damage and cracking.
» If damage or cracking is visible:
– Change the rear brake linings. ( p. 103)
