  If the KTM Motorcycle engine doesn't turn when you press the starter, it could be due to several reasons. It might be an operating error, so ensure you are following the correct start procedure. The battery could be discharged, in which case you should charge it, check the charging voltage, quiescent current and stator winding of the alternator. Also, inspect the main fuse and replace it if it's blown. Finally, the starter relay or starter motor might be defective, requiring a check.

  If your KTM Motorcycle engine has too little power, consider these possible causes: a very dirty air filter, which requires cleaning of the air filter and air filter box. Also, the fuel filter might be very dirty, so replace it. If there is a defect in the fuel injection system read out the fault memory using the KTM diagnostics tool. Check the exhaust system for leaks or deformation. If the exhaust system is leaky, deformed or has too little glass fiber yarn filling in main silencer, change the glass fiber yarn filling of the main silencer. Lastly, check if the valve clearance is too little and adjust it.

Lastly, the piston and cylinder might be worn, requiring you to determine the mounting clearance.
