– Check the wheel bearing for damage and wear.
» If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn:
– Change the front wheel bearing.

Clean and grease the shaft seal rings
and mating surfaces
of the spacers.
Long-life grease ( p. 195)
– Insert the spacers.

Clean the thread of the wheel spindle and screw

– Position the front wheel and insert the wheel spindle.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.

Mount and tighten screw

in the drill hole. Mount and tighten screw

Mount and tighten screws
.
– Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with
the brake disc and there is a pressure point.
– Take the motorcycle off of the front wheel stand. ( p. 80)
– Pull the front brake and compress the fork forcefully a few times.
The fork legs straighten.
