6. Checking the radiator
WARNING
T
o avoid personal injury or death:
• Always stop the engine before checking the
radiator.
• Wear eye protection when cleaning with
compressed air.

(3) Rubber hoses
Checking the fins
1.
Check to see if the fins are clogged.
2. If the fins are clogged, clean them with compressed
air or steam.
IMPORTANT :
• In order to allow free flow of air through the
cooling elements and prevent the engine from
overheating, radiator fins and ribs must be kept
clean.
Checking the rubber hoses and clamps
1. Check
the rubber hoses for damage and replace if
cracked or old.
2. Check that the hose clamps are tight enough.
