Maintenance and storage
Central gearbox
- Lower and lock parking stands (1).
- Place the machine in working position.
- Remove filler plug (2).
- Place a container of sufficient capacity under drain
plug.
- Remove drain plug (3).
- Allow oil to drain completely.
- Wait for dripping to stop.
- Clean and reinstall drain plug (3) and its washer.
replace them if necessary.
- Pour the correct oil quantity and quality through the
opening of the filler plug (2).
- Check central gearbox oil level.
- The oil level must reach the medium level of sight
glass (4).
Before draining oil, operate the machine for a
few minutes so that the oil warms up.
The angle gearbox is lubricated with 5.5 L (1.45 US gal) of SHELL SPIRAX A extreme-pressure oil for
mechanical transmissions with viscosity grade SAE80W90 and API grade GL5.
When draining and refilling, it is recommended to use either a mineral base oil with viscosity grade
SAE80W90 and API grade GL5, or a synthetic base oil, type PAO (Poly-Alpha-Olefins) with a viscosity
grade equivalent to SAE80W90.
