  Uneven stubble can occur for several reasons. It could be due to dull or broken knives, which require replacement. Ensure knives are installed correctly with the arrow on the upper face pointing in the disc's rotation direction. Check belts for correct tension if the disc speed is low. Increase engine speed to run the PTO at 540 rpm if the PTO speed is low. Finally, reduce tilt on the cutterbar if there is too much.
