      Uneven stubble can occur for several reasons. It may be due to dull or broken knives, in which case you should replace them. Ensure knives are installed correctly, with the arrow on the knife's upper face pointing in the disc's rotation direction. Excessive ground speed, incorrect cutting height, or incorrect mowing unit floatation can also cause this issue. Adjust the cutting height or mowing unit ground pressure as needed. If dealing with tangled and down crops, reduce the cutting height and increase the mowing unit ground pressure.

      Soil build up in front of the cutterbar can happen if there's too much cutterbar down pressure. Adjust the mowing unit ground pressure to alleviate this. Very wet working conditions can also contribute, so adjust both the mowing unit ground pressure and the cutting height.
