2 The main unit setup procedure
Unpacking
Take out the main unit and accessories
from the packing.
• Remove all packing materials.
(Remove the outer case after removing the ink case and the cleaning liquid.)
• Set a slope and take the main unit down from the skid.
(Do not hold up only with the handles in the main unit.)
Installation
Cassette lift plate
• Pull out the cassette and remove the stopper for the lift plate.
Deck lift plate
• Pull out the deck and remove the stopper for the lift plate.
Scanner carriage
(C3100 error comes up unless not to release)
• Remove the scanner carriage stopper and put it back in an opposite way.
Image conveying unit
(Remove the fixing screws and the plates)
• Pull out the image conveying unit and remove the screws for the image conveying unit
• Place the image conveying unit on a table and remove the fixing plates for the unit.
Head Treatment unit
(Remove the fixing plates)
• Remove the fixing parts for the cap unit.
• Remove the plates for the head treatment unit.
Adjust the machine level
• Adjust the horizontal level of the machine with four level bolts of the main unit.
Install the right tray
• Attach the paper width guide and the right exit tray.
Attaching national language labels
• Affix the applicable language label
Install the ink container
Installation of the cleaning tank
• Insert the vent spacer under the cap.
