Messaging
Send a Message
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
> Messaging .
2. Tap to compose a message.
3. Enter a phone number or email address in the To field.
Tip: You can enter a name saved in Contacts to call up the
contact information or tap to access your Contacts.
4. Tap the Type message field and type your message.
▪ To attach pictures or files, tap and select a file.
▪ To add a subject or insert a preset message, tap
>
Add subject or Add preset message, and then
type a subject or select a preset message.
5. Tap when you are finished.
Access Messages
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
> Messaging
.
2. Tap a message to open and read it.
Email Setup
Set Up a Gmail™ Account
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
> Gmail .
2. Follow the instructions to set up or sign in to a Gmail
account.
Note: When setting up a new Google Account, you will be
prompted to add a phone number. Enter the phone
number you use to send and receive email. This
number is used to authenticate your account should
you ever encounter problems or forget your
password. It is strongly encouraged for Android™
users so you can regain access to Google Mobile™
services and purchases on your phone.
