8. COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL (CMM) EFFECTIVITY
Effectivity of the CMM is based on effectivity dates and product serial number. Effectivity
of the manual is identified by a list of effective pages in the front of the manual.
9. PART NUMBER FORMATTING
L−3AR does not delineate its part numbers by special characters, such as the “−” dash
character. L−3AR considers its part numbers with or without the use of special characters
to be the same, for example, there is no difference between part number 266−E0305−00,
266E0305−00, or 266E030500. To be in compliance with ARINC Specifications 100 and
200 the part numbers listed in this manual use the following format: 266E0305−00.
L−3AR typically identifies its part numbers on other documents such as internal engineer-
ing drawings, purchase orders, component labels, shipping orders, Form 8130’s, and cer-
tification documents with the format: 266−E0305−00.
