In the GACVR, a continuous Bite Status Output or Recorder Fault is indicated on pin
23. A ground at pin 23 represents a no fault, while an open indicates a fault or that
a CVR is not installed. The CVR test indicator wires, pins 15 and 16 (1mA) may be
omitted in installations where ARINC 557 compatibility is not needed.

L. Crash and Fire Protection
The Crash Survivable Memory Unit (CSMU) construction enables the Model
FA2100CVR to meet or exceed the rigorous crash protection requirements of
EUROCAE ED–56A, ED−112 and TSO-123a.
M. Control Unit, Microphone & Preamplifier Equipment
Refer to Aviation Recorders ED-56A Compliant Control Unit, Preamplifier and Micro-
