Warning
The use of this equipment may be submitted to license.
The equipment must be used on the market in conformity with the administrative obligations of
the legislation in which the transceiver is used.
Do not try to transmit if the antenna has not been connected, this could seriously damage the
transceiver.
This equipment has been calibrated and tested at factory; do not open it and try to tamper with
its internal components.
Interference caused by the distribution system of your vehicle
Modern cars no longer cause problems for the shielding of distribution cables and ignition
system, therefore the transceiver should not suffer any interference caused by engine operation.
Safety warning
•For vehicles with an air bag. Do not place your radio in the area over an air band or in the
air bag deployment area, air bags inflate with great force. If a radio is placed in the air bag
deployment area and the air bag inflates, the radio may be propelled with great force and
cause serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
•Turn you radio off when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, unless it is a type
especially qualified for such use (for example, factory mutual approved). Sparks in such areas
could cause an explosion or fire resulting in injury or even death.
•To avoid possible interference with blasting operations. Turn you radio off near electrical bla-
sting caps or in a “blasting area” or in areas posted: “Turn off the two way radio.” Obey all
signs and instructions.
•Check the laws regarding the use of radios while driving, and always obey them.
•Do not try to transmit if the antenna has not been connected
•Only use antennas tuned on 27 MHz and with a typical impedance of 50 ohm
•Never allow children to touch the transceiver
•Use the specified microphone only
•Do not place the transceiver in excessively dusty environments
•Do not operate the transceiver countinuously without running the vehicle’s engine. The vehicle’s
battery can quickly run out.
•Servicing must be performed by qualified personnel only.
•Switch the transceiver off while refuelling or at a petrol station.
•Do not tamper with or attempt to modify the transceiver.
