What causes the blades to lock up on my Land Pride RC2512 Cutter?
Blades on your Land Pride Cutter can lock up if they were locked together when the wings were raised, if the tractor has an instant-on PTO, or if the tractor has an instant-off PTO. If the blades are locked, use a pry bar or other tool to separate them before lowering the wings. If your tractor has an instant-on PTO, engage the PTO at low RPMs and then slowly increase engine speed to full PTO speed, referring to “Engage Blades” on page 20. If your tractor has an instant-off PTO, decrease engine speed slowly to an idle and then disengage the PTO, referring to “Disengage Blades” on page 20.
