Malfunction Cause Remedy
Popping or bubbling noise Flashback caused by blockages in the
burner
1. Close the cylinder valve immediately
(turn operating lever (G2) to a 3
o'clock position).
2. Wait for three minutes and start up
the barbecue again.
3. If the fault occurs again, arrange for a
gas specialist to uninstall the burner
and to clean it.
Gas ame ickers Gas cylinder is not opened quite far
enough
Open the gas cylinder further
Gas cylinder is almost empty Connect a new gas cylinder
The gas ame is either yellow or
orange instead of blue
Too little oxygen present Check the burner for signs of blockage
Gas ame ares up brightly Fatty foods Remove any large areas of fat prior
to barbecuing or place the meat on
a grill plate or reduce the barbecue
temperature
The surrounding environment is too
windy
Switch o the barbecue and move it to a
location that is sheltered from the wind
