DANGER: Severe burns caused by gas deagration
When a ame regulator (A1, A2) is operated gas ows into the burner. This gas burns
rapidly when ignited.
For your own safety:
Only ignite the burners when the grill hood is open; doing this avoids it being
thrown up in the event of possible deagration.
Do not lean over the barbecue while actuating the ame regulator. Main-
tain the greatest possible distance to avoid being burnt in the event of possible
deagration.
1. Open the grill hood and check that the ame regulator of the rotisserie burner (A4) is set to "OFF", as the rear infrared
burner may not be used at the same time as the main burners.
Keep a safe distance from the burners during the next few steps.

2. Press a ame regulator (A1 or A2) and turn it anti-clockwise to the
"High" setting.
3. Press the ignition button (B) immediately and keep it depressed for
approx. 4 seconds.
Clicking noises indicate that the igniter is ring up.
If the gas in the burner does not ignite within the 4 seconds,
turn the ame regulator (A1, A2) back to "OFF", wait for 5
minutes and then repeat steps 2 to 3.
Alternatively you can also ignite a burner by using a match. If you are doing this it is imperative you use the match
holder located in the cart. Without this you may burn yourself. Keep as far away from the burner as possible. Stick the
match holder and match through the grill from above near the burner you wish to ignite. Then press the appropriate
ame regulator (A1, A2) and turn it counterclockwise to "High".
4. To ignite the other main burners repeat steps 2 and 3 using the appropriate ame regulators for the burners.
5. Close the lid and allow the barbecue to heat up at full power.
The rst time you use the barbecue allow it to heat up for approximately 20 minutes before adding any food; this will
allow the food-safe coating to harden (as is the case with any oven).
6. When the barbecue has heated up suciently turn the ame regulator to the desired setting (size of ame).
We do not recommend operating the barbecue at maximum heat output for a prolonged period, as the casing will be-
come very hot and may be damaged. Make sure you open the hood from time to time when using the infrared burners,
as these generate a copious amount of heat.
Stainless steel parts may discolour through the eect of the heat. This is a normal occurrence and is not a cause
for complaint.
7. You can now place your food on the grill. We recommend that you wear barbecue gloves or other gloves to protect you
from the heat.
To switch o the burners (extinguish the ame) press and turn the ame regulators (A1, A2) clockwise to
"OFF". The gas supply is only disconnected if all the ame regulators have been set to OFF.
