Maintenance Features
ESD CAUTION: This module is susceptible to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) damage. It must be protected from ESD at all times and handled with appropriate ESD precautions.
Storage Conditions:
- Moisture Barrier Bag: Must be stored under 30°C with humidity under 85% RH.
- Shelf Life: The calculated shelf life for the dry packed product is 12 months from the bag seal date.
- Humidity Indicator Cards: Must be blue, <30%.
FCC Compliance and Integration Guidelines:
- FCC Rules: Complies with CFR 47 FCC PART 15 SUBPART C.
- Operational Use: This module is stand-alone modular. For multiple simultaneously transmitting conditions or different operational conditions in a host, the host manufacturer must consult with the module manufacturer for installation methods.
- Limited Module Procedures: As a limited single modular without shielding, host manufacturers must consult with the module manufacturer regarding limiting conditions when integrating the module. The module manufacturer should review detailed test data or host designs before approval.
- RF Exposure: The equipment must be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and the user's body to comply with FCC radiation exposure limits.
- Antennas: Approved for use with specific antenna types. Antennas not on the approved list with higher gain are prohibited. The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and users, and the transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna.
- Country Code Selection: For products marketed in the US, OEM must limit operation channels to CH1-CH11 for the 2.4G band using a supplied firmware programming tool. OEM should not provide tools or information to the end-user for regulatory domain changes.
- End Product Labeling: The final product must be labeled with "Contains FCC ID: 2AL6KBL-M8723DU1" in a visible area.
- Manual Information: OEM integrators must not provide information to end-users on how to install or remove the RF module. The end-user manual must include all required regulatory information and warnings as shown in this manual.
- Additional Testing: Host manufacturers are responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements with this module installed, including radiated emission and spurious emission tests according to FCC part 15C:15.247 and 15.209. Host manufacturers are also responsible for compliance with all other applicable requirements for the host system, such as Part 15 B.
