there is a stop, so that other settings are only
possible by turning the dial anticlockwise from
the 1000-position or clockwise from the
B/OFF-position.

When transporting the camera, e.g. in a bag,
and if the camera will not be used for a long
time, if should be turned off, i.e. set to
B/OFF.
The quick wind lever
The quick wind lever (19) is used to advance the
film, cock the shutter, and automatically advance
the frame counter. The film can be advanced ei-
ther by swinging the lever as far as it will go or by
several shorter strokes. The lever can be folded
out and left in its "ready position” for quick access.
