7. ENERGY EFFICIENT RECOVERYWith energy efficient recovery
enabled, the recovery will start before the programmed time. When
disabled, the control will start a recovery at the programmed time. The
control assumes a heating capacity of 6°F per hour and a cooling ca-
pacity of 4°F per hour. The control then turns on before the pro-
grammed time by determining the difference between the actual tem-
perature and the recovered setpoint.
The control then calculates how much in advance the low−cost first
stage will operate to be at the setpoint at the programmed time. The
second stage is locked" out until 20 minutes before the programmed
time.
The energy efficient recovery de-
fault setting is on (ENABLE). To
turn it off, use UP/DOWN buttons
to highlight DISABLE; press SE-
LECT.
NOTE − When the EER causes the equipment to be activated ahead
of the programmed event time, EER will be displayed on the home
screen in the place of the outdoor temperature.
8. HUMIDITROL If a Humiditrol
®
accessory is present in the equip-
ment at hand, then the SignatureStatt thermostat must be config-
ured to properly operate the accessory. An outdoor sensor is re-
quired when using Humiditrol. Configure the thermostat as follows
(see Figure 6 for the Humiditrol operation flowchart):
From the Home screen, press
MENU. Select INSTALLER SET-
TINGS, then HUMIDITROL, then
ENABLE. Verify that the HUMIDI-
TROL ON is displayed in the IN-
STALLER SETTINGS menu.
From Home screen, press
MENU, then DEHUMIDIFY, then
MODE, then HUMIDITROL. The
thermostat is now configured to
operate the accessory.
9. SECURITY CODEA security code prevents changes to the IN-
STALLER settings. The default security code setting is OFF. This lev-
el of security restricts access to the installer menus. All other thermo-
stat and user settings are available. When SECURITY is selected, a
screen appears for entering a four−digit installer security code.
If the installer settings security
code is forgotten or misplaced for
some reason, the universal code
"0801" can be used.
10. CONTACT INFORMATIONThis will provide information to the
homeowner regarding who and when to contact in case of trouble, or
for routine service. Contact information is displayed in the event of a
service maintenance interval (such as an elapsed system monitor
timer). You can program two full lines of character information via the
user interface. The top line can contain up to 20 characters, and the
bottom line can contain up to 14 characters.
At the contact screen, push the
EDIT button then the UP/DOWN
buttons to choose correct contact
information. Push NEXT to ad-
vance to next character. When
finished with the first line, press
ACCEPT. The cursor advances
to the next line.
Continue choosing contact information, then push ACCEPT to finish.
