Dehumidification Modes
In BASIC mode, dehumidification occurs if these conditions are met and
signals are present at specific terminals:
S dehumidification has been enabled, and
S the unit is in COOL mode, and
S cooling demand exists (Y1 energized), and
S dehumidification demand exists.
In PRECISION mode, dehumidification occurs if these conditions are met:
S dehumidification has been enabled, and
S the unit is in COOL mode, and
S dehumidification demand exists , and
S the room temperature is no lower than 2°F below the setpoint.
S (If in Auto Changeover Mode) there has been at least one sensible
cooling call made prior to the dehumidification demand.
NOTE − The H terminal is inactive (open circuit) during dehumidification.
DEHUMIDIFY MODE Screen
NOTE − Basic or Precision mode must be turned on before you can adjust
the dehumidification level on the thermostat.
DEHUMIDIFY CONTROL may be adjusted in 1 percent increments; rela-
tive humidity range. To locate and adjust the DEHUMIDIFY CONTROL:
1. From the home screen press
MENU. Use the UP or DOWN
button to highlight DEHUMIDIFY.
Press SELECT for the DEHU-
MIDIFY MENU.
2. From the DEHUMIDIFY MENU,
press SELECT again to choose
MODE.
3. The default setting for dehumidifi-
cation is OFF. To turn on basic de-
humidification mode, select BA-
SIC. To turn on precision
dehumidification mode, select
PRECISION.
4. If you selected BASIC in the pre-
vious step, BAS is displayed on
the right−hand side of the screen.
5. Use the UP/DOWN button to
highlight DEHUMIDIFY; press
SELECT. Setting limits: Min. 45%,
Max. 60%. Default setting: 50%.
6. In the DEHUMIDIFY CONTROL
screen, use the UP/DOWN but-
tons to adjust for the desired hu-
midification level; press SELECT.
