•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetransformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebatteries,makesurethattheirtemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterieswhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputer.Youneedto
chargethebatteriesinanyofthefollowingsituations:
–WhenthebatteryiconintheWindowsnotificationareashowsalowpercentageofbatterypower
remaining.
–Whenthebatterieshavenotbeenusedforalongtime
Checkingthebatterystatus
Thebattery-statusiconintheWindowsnotificationareadisplaysthepercentageofbatterypowerremaining.
Therateatwhichyouusebatterypowerwilldeterminehowlongyoucanusethebatteryofyourcomputer
betweencharges.Becauseeachcomputeruserhasdifferenthabitsandneeds,itisdifficulttopredicthow
longabatterychargewilllast.Therearetwomainfactors:
•Howmuchenergyisstoredinthebatterywhenyoubegintowork.
•Thewayyouuseyourcomputer:
–Howoftenyouaccessthestoragedrive.
–Howbrightyoumakethecomputerdisplay.
–Howoftenyouusethewirelessfeatures.

Chargingthebattery
Itisrecommendedthatyouchargethebatteryorreplaceitwithachargedbatterywhenthebatterypower
remainingislow.Forexample:
•Whenyoufindthatthepercentageofpowerremainingislow.
•Whenthepoweralarmalertsyou
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninserttheconnectorintothe
computer.Thebatterywillbefullychargedinaboutthreetosixhours.Thechargingtimeisaffectedbythe
batterysizeandthephysicalenvironment.Youcancheckthebatterychargingstatusatanytimethroughthe
battery-statusiconintheWindowsnotificationarea.
Note:Tomaximizethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechargingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
