SecureDigitalHigh-Capacity(SDHC)card
Note:Yourcomputerdoesnotsupportthecontentprotectionforrecordablemedia(CPRM)featurefor
theSDcard
Attention:Whiletransferringdatatoorfromaflashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyour
computerintosleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransfercompletes;otherwise,yourdatacould
becomedamaged.
Insertingaflashmediacard
Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingaflashmediacard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.
Thisactionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.
Toinsertaflashmediacard,dothefollowing:
1.Locatetheappropriatetypeofslotforyourcard.See“Locatingcomputercontrols,connectors,and
indicators”onpage1.
2.Ensurethatthemetalcontactsarefacingdownandpointingtowardtothecardslot.
3.Pressthecardfirmlyintothecardslot.
Iftheplug-and-playfeatureisnotenabled,dothefollowing:
1.GotoControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClickDeviceManager.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,typethe
passwordorprovideconfirmation.
4.FromtheActionmenu,selectAddlegacyhardware.TheAddHardwareWizardstarts.
5.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Removingaflashmediacard
Attention:
Stopalltheactivitiesinvolvingthecardbeforeremovingit.Otherwise,dataonthecardmightbe
damagedorlost.
