ThinkPadSetuptousethesefunctions.
WakeonLAN
WhentheWakeonLANfeatureisenabledonacomputerthatisconnectedtoaLAN,anetworkadministrator
canstartthecomputerremotelyfromamanagementconsole,usingremotenetwork-managementsoftware.
Whenyourcomputerisnotunderthenetworkadministrator'ssystemmanagement,youcandisableWake
onLAN.
ToenableordisableWakeonLAN,dothefollowing:
1.StartThinkPadSetup.
2.SelectCong.TheCongsubmenuisdisplayed.
3.SelectNetwork.TheNetworksubmenuisdisplayed.
4.ForWakeOnLAN,selectoneofthefollowing:ACOnly,ACandBattery,orDisabled.
5.PressFn+F10tosavechangesandexit.
NetworkBootsequence
Whenyourcomputeristurnedonremotely,thesystemwilltrytobootfromthedevicethatisspeciedinthe
NetworkBootsetting,andthenfollowthebootorderlistontheBootmenu.
Todeneasequence,dothefollowing:
1.OntheThinkPadSetupprogrammenu,selectStartup.Thesubmenuisdisplayed.
2.SelectNetworkBootandpresstheEnterkey.Thebootdevicelistisdisplayed.
3.Selectabootdevicefromthelisttomakeitasthetopbootpriority.
4.PressFn+F10tosavechangesandexit.
Note:Ifyouwanttoinitializethesettingtoreturntothedefaultstartupsequence,pressFn+F9.Thedefault
settingsareautomaticallyreloaded.
