The RD450 supports the following security features.
Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
The RD450 provides an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to securely store the passwords,
certificates, and encryption keys that might be used to authenticate the platform. TPM is a hardware-
based system security feature that supports Trusted Computing Group (TCG) 1.2. TPM supports Windows
BitLocker Drive encryption, which is a Windows data protection feature. BitLocker uses the TPM to protect
user data and to ensure that a Windows server was not tampered with.
The Trusted Platform Module ordering information is listed in the following table.
The table also lists the Trusted Cryptographic Module (TCM) which is the equivalent component for use in
China.

Chassis intrusion switch
The intrusion switch informs you if the server cover is not properly installed or closed by creating an event
in the system event log (SEL). The following figure shows where the switch is located.

Some models include the chassis switch and cable. For custom configurations, the SBB part number can
be selected.
