Installaon
Please observe the following during installaon:
The mounng surfaces must be plane, torsionally rigid and free from vibraons.
The mounng areas must be suited to absorb the forces and torques generated during operaon.
Ensure an unhindered venlaon.
For versions with a fan, keep a minimum distance of 10 % from the outside diameter of the fan cover in
intake direcon.
Mounng posions
The gearboxes can be mounted in any posion.
Venlaon
No venlaon measures are required for the gearboxes.

NOTICE
Damage to property due to improper mounng
Improper mounng can damage the bearings, housings or shas.
Avoid impacts and shocks.
When ng the pinion, couplings, and belt pulleys, only use suitable equipment and always use the
center hole in the sha.
In the case of a belt drive, tension the belt according to the manufacturer informaon.
Only use suitable clamping assemblies to secure couplings, pulleys, gear wheels, sprockets, etc. on the
gearbox output sha.
Compensate minor inaccuracies by suitable exible couplings.
If transmission elements are mounted, make sure that they are properly balanced and cannot generate
any impermissible radial and axial forces.
For details of the permissible radial and axial forces, please refer to the project planning document.
Make sure that the sha sealing rings on the gearbox do not get soiled during installaon or damaged by
sharp or pointed objects.
Use screws with a property class of at least 8.8.
Observe prescribed starng torques.
Secure to prevent from working loose.
In the case of an alternang load, we recommend that you apply an anaerobic curing adhesive between
the ange and mounng area.
