Unpack the printer
Step 1: Unpack the printer
1 Select a location for your printer.
• Leave enough room to open
the printer cover, output door,
and optional 250-sheet tray. It
is also important to allow space
around the printer for proper
ventilation.
• Provide the proper
environment:
– A firm, level surface
– Away from the direct airflow
of air conditioners, heaters,
or ventilators
– Free of sunlight, humidity
extremes, or temperature
fluctuations
– Clean, dry, and free of dust
2 Remove all items from the box
except the printer. Make sure you
have the following items:
• Printer with print cartridge
installed
• Power cord
• Setup Guide with a
publications CD
• Quick Reference card
• Drivers CD
• Operator panel overlay
(non-English only)
Note: The Lexmark E220 comes with a 1,500-page
starter print cartridge.
