Image Orientation in the Tray
Depending on whether you are printing a simplex or duplex page, the orientation of the image will be
different. It is important to understand the orientation of the page when determining if there is a problem
with skew from the duplex unit.
Simplex Orientation
For a simplex page, side 1’s printed image is face up in the tray with the top of the image on the left.
Duplex Orientation
For a duplex page, side 1’s printed image is face down in the tray with the top of the image on the right.
Side 2 is actually printed first when duplexing. In other words, the odd numbered pages are the
duplexed pages.
