Why can't I access the Internet with my Lexus LINK?
    • B
      Brian ClarkAug 13, 2025
If your Lexus device is not yet registered, follow the steps in the “Registration” section. If you have just started your car, wait about 30 seconds for the Lexus Link 4G box to initialize. The device is ready to provide an Internet connection once both LED indicators on the device are green.

Why is my Lexus LINK download speed so slow?
    • R
      Ronald BellAug 16, 2025
The download or upload speed depends on signal strength and mobile network performances. Ensure you are in an area covered by mobile networks. If your car is parked in a building, basement, or underground parking, improve the signal strength by driving the vehicle outside. You can also check the signal strength and network type in the main settings page (http://settings.incarhotspot.net). Network types from slowest to fastest are: EDGE (2G), HSPA (3G), DC-HSPA (3G+), and LTE (4G).

The cellular network indicator might be red because you are in an area not covered by mobile networks. First, ensure your device is connected via Wi-Fi to the Lexus Link 4G box. Also, verify that your device isn't configured to use a proxy server to connect to the Internet and that it's not connected via another method than Wi-Fi (like a mobile network). Open a browser and type the correct address: http://settings.incarhotspot.net. The default password to access the main settings page is 'admin'. If you do not remember your password, you can reset your device to factory settings.

Make sure the Wi-Fi function of the Lexus Link 4G box is active and the LED indicator “Wi-Fi” is green. If not, press the “Wi-Fi ON/OFF” button on your device. Refresh the Wi-Fi network list on your device and select the correct Wi-Fi network: “InCarHotspot-XXXXXX” (where XXXXXX is different for each Lexus Link 4G box).
