3.11.4. DVB-H Demodulator (U201)
The DIB7000-H 2k/4k/8k COFDM demodulator Integrated Circuit (IC) uses the state of the art
Signal Processing to offer high performance for mobile, portable and fixed reception of Digital
Terrestrial Television signals compliant with DVB-H standard.
Dual AGC BB/RF is implemented in order to offer very high dynamic range control through
digital. The gain balance between the RF and the BB (or IF) is handled automatically, either in
hardware or in software.
A digital filter with high rejection capability is added to cope with adjacent channels.
Combined with the interpolation function it allows the circuit to demodulate 8, 7, 6 or 5 MHz
channels without changing the analog front-end.
The DIB7000-H is able to recover up to +/- 350 KHz of the frequency offset which contributes
to reducing the scanning time.

The roles of DIB7000-H in the DVB-H front-end are below :
