Why are there spots and filming on dishes washed in my LG LDPH7972S Dishwasher?
    • D
      Debra PattersonSep 4, 2025
Spots and filming can be due to low water temperature, which should be at least 120 °F for best wash performance. Avoid overloading the dishwasher and ensure dishes are loaded properly, referring to the Operation section. Insufficient water pressure, ideally between 20 and 80 psi, can also cause this issue.

How to remove spots and filming on dishes in my LG LDPH7972S?
    • E
      Eric MooreAug 21, 2025
Spots and filming on dishes can occur due to several reasons. Ensure you are using the recommended amount of detergent and that the rinse aid dispenser is full. If you have hard water buildup in the tub, remove all items from the dishwasher, leaving only the racks. Then, add 3 tablespoons (40 g) of citric acid powder to the main wash compartment and run the Machine Clean cycle (Download Cycle: P1) without detergent. If you cannot find citric acid powder, pour approximately one cup (200 ml - 300 ml) of white vinegar into a shallow bowl and place it in the upper rack before running the cycle.
