Why is my LG LW6024R Air Conditioner not cooling as it should?
    • J
      jasonramirezAug 3, 2025
Several factors can cause inadequate cooling. Ensure that curtains, blinds, or furniture aren't blocking the front of the unit. Verify that the temperature control is set lower than the current room temperature. A dirty air filter restricts airflow, so clean it every 2 weeks. Remember, it takes time for a hot room to cool down when the unit is first turned on. Check for open furnace floor registers or cold air returns that may be allowing cold air to escape. Finally, iced-up cooling coils can also reduce cooling efficiency; set the mode control at High Fan or High Cool.

What to do if my LG Air Conditioner does not start?

      smithrichardAug 7, 2025
If your LG air conditioner isn't starting, first, ensure it's fully plugged into the outlet. Check your house's fuse or circuit breaker box and replace any blown fuses or reset tripped breakers. If there was a power failure, turn the mode control to off and wait three minutes after power is restored before restarting to prevent compressor overload. Also, check the current interrupter device by pressing the RESET button on the power cord plug. If the RESET button won't stay engaged, stop using the air conditioner and contact a qualified technician.

If your LG air conditioner isn't connecting to Wi-Fi, the router might be too far away. Try moving the router closer or install a Wi-Fi repeater. Also, ensure you're selecting the correct wireless router and that it's set to 2.4 GHz.

Your LG air conditioner might be turning on and off rapidly due to a dirty air filter restricting airflow. Clean the air filter. Also, extremely hot outside temperatures can cause this issue. Refer to the installation instructions or check with the installer for guidance.

What to do if my LG home appliance and smartphone are not connected to the Wi-Fi network?
    • J
      James DeleonNov 24, 2025
If your LG appliance and smartphone aren't connecting to Wi-Fi, make sure you're using the correct Wi-Fi password. Try removing the Wi-Fi network from your smartphone and re-registering the appliance on LG ThinQ. Ensure mobile data is turned off on your smartphone during registration and that the wireless network name (SSID) consists of only English letters and numbers. Verify that your router frequency is set to 2.4 GHz. If the distance between the appliance and the router is too far, move the router closer to the appliance. If the application requests a password to connect to the product during Wi-Fi setup, locate the network name which starts with 'LG' under Settings > Networks. Note the last part of the network name. If the network name looks like LGE_Appliance_XX-XX-XX, enter lge12345...
