This document provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide and feature overview for the Libratone Q Adapt On-Ear headphones. It covers common issues like Bluetooth connectivity, physical comfort, and detailed instructions for using various functionalities such as volume control, Siri integration, CityMix™ adjustable noise cancelling, and the Touch Interface. The guide also explains how to set up and manage a PLUS 1 SoundSpace group for simultaneous music playback on two headphones and how to perform a factory reset.
The Libratone Q Adapt On-Ear headphones are designed to provide a high-quality audio experience with advanced features for personalized listening and seamless integration with smart devices. Their primary function is to deliver audio wirelessly via Bluetooth, while also offering active noise cancellation and intuitive touch controls.
The headphones connect wirelessly to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth. The setup process involves powering on the headphones, pressing and holding the Function button to enter Setup mode (indicated by side-to-side blinking lights on the Touch Interface), and then selecting the headphones from the Bluetooth menu on the smart device. A double blink on the Touch Interface confirms a successful connection. Bluetooth is automatically disabled when an audio cable is inserted.
If the customized name of the On-Ear headphones isn't appearing correctly in the Bluetooth list on an iPhone, a specific procedure is outlined:
Volume adjustment is performed using the Nightingale (the bird icon) on the Touch Interface. Sliding a finger around the Nightingale in a clockwise motion increases the volume, while a counter-clockwise motion decreases it.
The Q Adapt On-Ear headphones are compatible with Apple's Siri. To activate Siri, users press and hold the Touch Interface with two fingers for approximately 5 seconds. Music will stop, and an audio cue from the iOS device will indicate Siri's activation.
This feature allows users to control the amount of ambient sound they let in. There are four CityMix™ levels, which can be adjusted directly using the Function button on the headphones or via the Libratone App. A short press of the Function button cycles through the four levels. In the Libratone App, users can select their Q Adapt On-Ear headphones in SoundSpaces and slide a finger around the CityMix™ Control Circle to switch between levels.
To allow maximum talk-through, users can click the Hush button (available in the Libratone App) to mute music and temporarily deactivate noise cancelling.
The Touch Interface on the Q Adapt On-Ear headphones is multi-functional:
The PLUS 1 feature allows two Q Adapt On-Ear headphones to form a Bluetooth SoundSpace group, enabling simultaneous music playback on both.
Simply start music on the smartphone.
If the headphones feel too tight or "squeeze" the ears, a suggestion is provided to alleviate pressure:
A Factory Reset is recommended for resolving technical issues related to incorrect settings or if PLUS 1 setup fails.
