D
Diana NavarroAug 6, 2025
If the console of your Life Fitness Fitness Equipment is non-operative, first check that the transformer is plugged in and that the wiring harness is connected to the console. Inspect the wiring harness in the upright tube or at the base frame to ensure proper connections. If connections are correct, replace the transformer. If the issue persists, replace the console. This may be due to the transformer not being plugged in, the wiring harness not being connected, or pinched wire harnesses.

What to do if Life Fitness x3i Fitness Equipment makes a metallic scraping noise?
T
Tracey SchroederAug 15, 2025
If your Life Fitness Fitness Equipment is making a metallic scraping noise in either the forward or reverse direction (Version 1 units only), the magnet might be rubbing on the aluminum disk, or the chopper wheel may be hitting the OPTO Sensor. Remove the bottom rear shroud and inspect the position of the magnets to see if they are rubbing on the aluminum disk. If they are, re-center the OPTO Sensor.

Why is there no speed readout on the Life Fitness x3i console (Version 1)?
P
Penny McgeeAug 26, 2025
If there is no speed readout on the console of your Life Fitness Fitness Equipment (Version 1), verify that the connections between the OPTO sensor and wiring harness are secure. Also, the chopper wheel might not be spinning between the two tabs of the OPTO sensor; if so, bend the OPTO bracket slightly upwards. This issue may arise from loose connections between the OPTO sensor and wiring harness, or the chopper wheel not spinning correctly.

How to fix a bump in the pedal motion of Life Fitness x3i Fitness Equipment?
C
Cory HardyAug 31, 2025
To fix a slight bump or hitch in the pedal motion of your Life Fitness Fitness Equipment, remove all clevis covers and loosen all six bolts that connect links to clevis brackets. Loosen the nuts a couple of turns so the machine can still be operated. Operate the machine a few revolutions to help seat the pivot points, then retighten the six bolts and install the clevis covers. Also, ensure the levelers are in contact with the floor and that the leveler jam nuts are properly tightened. The issue may be due to pivot points not being broken in or levelers not being in contact with the floor.
