Connecting a Satellite Receiver or Cable Box
Connecting a Cable Box, Digital Cable Box or Satellite Receiver
Before using the unit, follow the steps listed below to connect the VCR/DVD recorder to an external receiver and the TV.
Connecting to a cable box, digital cable box or satellite receiver with COMPOSITE jacks
1. Use an antenna cable (supplied) to connect the RF IN on the cable box/satellite receiver to the antenna outlet.
2. Use an antenna cable (same as supplied) to connect the RF OUT on the cable box/satellite receiver to the RF input
on the VCR/DVD recorder.
3. Use an antenna cable (same as supplied) to connect the RF OUT on the VCR/DVD recorder to the RF IN on the
television.
4. Use AUDIO/VIDEO cables (supplied) to connect the AUDIO/VIDEO output on the unit to the audio/video input on the
television.
Note:
If your cable TV box has both AUDIO/VIDEO OUT jacks and RF OUT jacks, we recommend connecting the AUDIO/VIDEO
OUT jacks with the VCR/DVD recorder’s AV2 Rear jacks. Using this connection provides better picture quality.
