For DVD disc:
The DVD-Video/DVD+RW/DVD+R/DVD-R/DVD-RW logos are
trademarks of respective companies.
For best results, use discs with logos shown above and those
conforming to specifications. The unit cannot play other types of
discs correctly. Do not use discs of irregular shape (e.g. heart-
shaped), as these can damage the unit.
It may not be possible to play CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-
RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW in all cases due to the type of disc or
condition of the recording.
For VHS tapes:
Poor quality or damaged video cassettes can cause the heads
to become dirty and can result in malfunction. Store you video
cassettes carefully and discard them when they become dirty or
damaged.
Never use video cassettes on which juice has been spilt or
those that are extremely damaged, as this will not only cause the
heads to become dirty, but will also lead to malfunction of the unit.
Dirt on video heads would affect recording and playback quality. If
the picture quality remains poor, use an optical head-cleaning
cassette. If the problem persists, seek advice from qualified service
personnel.
When using the unit, please do not:
1. place the unit near magnets or other electromagnetic objects
2. put anything heavy on top of the unit
3. bring the unit from cold surroundings to a hot environment, as
this may cause condensation and could damage the video
heads.
Unplayable Media Types
For DVD discs:
The unit does not play back discs listed below. If you try to play
back these discs, excessive noise may cause damage to speakers.
1. Unfinalized discs from other DVD recorders
2. DVD-ROM, DVD AUDIO, CD-ROM, PHOTO CD, SACD
3. DVD-RAM, DVD-VR format
For video cassette:
This unit does not play back dirty or damaged cassettes.
