If you are using solid fat, remove the frying basket from the fryer before the fat in
the tank solidies. Wash the frying basket in hot soapy water. Take great care as the
fat may splatter when it comes into contact with the water. Alternatively, leave the
frying basket on a heatproof surface to cool after removing if from the fryer.
Frying Guidelines
The frying times stated below are guides only. Frying times will vary depending on the
amount of food, the size of the food pieces, the spacing of the food in the frying basket, the
freshness of the food and personal taste. As you become familiar with your fryer you can
adjust cooking times to suit your personal preference. For larger or smaller quantities adjust
the time accordingly.

Mushrooms 150°C 3-5 minutes
Crumbed Chicken 180°C 10-12 minutes
Fish Cakes 160°C 3-5 minutes
Fillets 170°C 5 minutes
Onions 170°C 2-4 minutes
French Fries 190°C 8-10 minutes
Potato Chips 190°C 10-15 minutes
*Preheating at 190°C will normally take about 8-9 minutes.
Cooking Home-Battered Foods
This method requires extreme care.
1. Coat the food in batter and leave it to drain to remove any excess batter.
2. Ensure the correct cooking temperature has been reached.
When Cooking Has Been Completed
Return the frying basket to the fryer, turn the temperature control to the MIN. Switch o
the mains socket and unplug the fryer. Pull out the mains cable and store the mains cable in
the mains cable storage. Now leave the appliance to completely cool before cleaning.
