2.2.1 Check the resistance between the motor phases
Configure your multimeter
o Choose resistance
measurement
o Insert the measuring tips into
the provided sockets (black to
COM and red to Ω)
The measurement is easier and safer by
using crocodile clips
Connect the measuring clips to the
motor phases (3 different steps L1 to
L2, L2 to L3 and L3 to L1)
Check whether the resistance between the motor phases is on the same level. The following list gives
a rough resistance value of the motor phases separated by the different motor types. The value is
depending a lot on several conditions (accuracy of the multimeter/measuring with or without
submersible cable/etc.). It is more important that the resistance is on the same level.
These given values are rough values without the submersible cable.
