2.2.2 Check the isolation of the motor
It is important to use an isolation test device to measure the motor phases. This device can measure
the resistance at a high voltage level.
• Configure your isolation measuring
device:
o Choose isolation –
measurement at 1000 V
o Insert the measuring tips into
the provided sockets (black to
COM and red to Ω)
• The measurement is easier and safer by
using crocodile clips
• Connect the measuring clips to the
motor phases (3 different steps – L1 to
GND, L2 to GND and L3 to GND)
The value should not be below 0,5 MΩ.
