The pump's design adheres to EN 733 dimensions, with additional non-standardized extension sizes. It features a back pull-out bearing bracket or stub shaft connection, allowing for single-stage horizontal assembly.

The mechanical seal is an unbalanced single mechanical seal, conforming to EN 12756, version K dimensions.

Application Limits:

The maximum working pressure depends on the pump model and the temperature of the pumped liquid. The manual includes a flow chart illustrating this relationship.

Liquid temperature intervals vary by gasket type:

Standard EPDM: Minimum -25°C (-13°F), Maximum 140°C (284°F)
Optional FPM (FKM): Minimum -20°C (-4°F), Maximum 90°C (194°F)

The maximum number of starts per hour for Lowara-supplied motors is also specified, ranging from 60 starts/hour for 0.25-3.00 kW motors down to 4 starts/hour for 90-160 kW motors.

Usage Features:

Installation: The pump can be installed above or below the liquid source. Proper piping requirements, including independent support, flexible connections, wide bends, and air-tight suction piping, must be followed. Electrical installation requires qualified technicians, grounding, and appropriate overload protection.
Commissioning and Start-up: Before starting, ensure the pump is correctly connected to the power supply, properly filled, and the downstream on-off valve is closed. The rotation direction for three-phase motors must be checked.
Operation: The pump should run smoothly and quietly under expected operating conditions.

Maintenance Features:

Service Schedule: Regular maintenance intervals depend on the type of pumped liquid and operating conditions.
Bearing Types: Grease-lubricated bearings are factory-packed. Re-greaseable bearings require lubrication every 4000 operating hours or at least once a year, using NLGI Grade 2 grease.
Inspection Checklist: Includes checks for coupling alignment, mechanical seal leakage, bearing seal seating, and quiet running.
Disassembly and Replacement: Detailed instructions for disassembling and replacing pump parts are available on the manufacturer's website.
Troubleshooting: The manual provides extensive troubleshooting tables for common issues such as the pump not starting, thermal protector trips, low or no liquid delivery, frequent starts, and excessive noise/vibration.

Improper Use:

The pump should not be used with abrasive, solid, or fibrous substances, or for flow rates exceeding those specified on the data plate. It is explicitly warned not to use the pump for flammable and/or explosive liquids.
