Encoder
A HTL encoder (24 V supply) can be connected to terminals X2/11 and
12. Permissible pulse counts are in the range from
32, 64, 128, 256, 512,
1024 ...to 16384 pulses per rev
(2
n
where n = 5 to 14). .

Note: The connected encoder may draw max. 80 mA from the
inverter module. For encoders with higher current consump-
tions please use an external voltage source.
The inverter module encoder evaluation only works in A/B
mode. The line length is therefore limited to 10 meters.
Please note that evaluation of the encoder signal at inputs
ISD01 and ISD02 is limited to 500 kHz. For more information
refer to the Application Manual.
Isolation
To avoid transient currents and interference over the connected lines, the
analog (AGND) and digital (DGND) grounds are isolated from each other.
AGND serves as the reference potential for the analog reference inputs
(ISA00 and ISA01), the analog output (OSA00) and the reference voltage
U
R
(10.5 V).
DGND serves as the reference potential for all digital inputs and outputs,
the hardware enable ENPO and the auxiliary voltage U
V
(24 V).
