English voice guide (VOICE - MENU 22)
Function: enable/disable English voice guide.
Enter into menu 22 to activate the VOICE function. The default value is: English.
OFF: disables the voice guide.
English: enables the English voice guide.
Chinese: enables the Chinese voice guide.
End of transmission noise elimination (TAIL - MENU 23)
Enter into menu 23 to set the TAIL function.
Display information when turning on (OPN.SET and VLT and MSG.SET - MENU 24 and 25 and 26)
Function: select the presentation mode when turning on and edit the welcome message.
Enter into menu 24 to activate the OPN.SET function. The default value is: OFF.
OFF: shows the frequency.
DC: shows the battery voltage.
MSG: shows the welcome message.
Enter into menu 25 to check the battery voltage.
Enter into menu 26 to edit the welcome message, you can also edit it through the programming
soware.
Channel name show (DIS.NAME and CH.NAME - MENU 27 and 28)
Function: show or hide the channel name and edit the channel name in CH and MR modes.
Tones coding and searching (C-CDC, R-CDC, T-CDC, SEEK 67.0 and SEEK D023N - MENU 29, 30, 31,
36 and 37)
Function 1: use of the CTCSS / DCS tones.
Many repeaters require a very low frequency audio tone, to superimpose its signal for activating
the repeater. That helps to prevent false repeater activations by radar or other transmitters
spurious signals.
