Function’s detailed descriptions
The current menu number appear in the upper le side of the display.
Setting the search mode (SCAN and SCAN.S - MENU 1 and 20)
Function: in VFO / MR / CH modes, the transceiver allows searching in the entire operative band
and in the stored channels.
Enter into menu 1 and press the
key to start the search.
Once the searching has started, press th
/ keys to change search direction. The searching
will stop when a signal has found, press the PTT button to stop the searching; press the MONI
button to temporally stop the searching; press the
key to exit the searching mode.
The searching function is basically the same for every one of the different modes. Before starting,
take a moment to select the mode you prefer the search to stop when founding a signal.
Enter into menu 20 to select the setting for the searching mode. The default value is TO.
In VFO mode there are three searching options available:
TO: in this mode, the searching will stop in the signal found, and will stay in this signal for a while.
If you do not make any action to cancel the searching during this period of time, the searching
will restart although the signal is still active.
CO: in this mode, the searching will stop in the signal found, and will stay in this signal until it ends.
Once the signal ends, the searching will restart.
SE: in this mode, the searching will stop in the signal found, and will not restart automatically, you
will have to restart manually the searching if you want it to continue.
