The operator must read the operating instruc-
tions before starting the eccentric screw pump
and follow these instructions during operation.
1. The pump may only be operated in an upright posi-
tion.
2. Ensure that the pump is resistant to the medium
being pumped.
3. Note the limit values for temperature, viscosity and
density of the medium being pumped.
4. The motor must rotate in the direction indicated by
the arrow (B70V).
5. Ensure that all connections and ttings are properly
tightened.
6. Ensure that the motor is switched o before con-
necting to the electricity supply.
7. The drive motor must be located outside the mobile
container or drum.
8. Note the maximum immersion depth.
9. The pump may only be operated with the discharge
closed if a bypass valve with return line has been
installed.
10. The pump must not be allowed to run dry. It must
be switched o when the container is empty.
11. The pump operator must wear suitable protective
clothing, face mask or goggles, apron and gloves,
when pumping hazardous liquids.
12. Do not reach into the intake port of the pump.
13. The leakage port must be checked for leaks.
14. The pump may only be repaired by the manufac-
turer or a duly authorized repair shop.
The classication of ammable liquids is made accord-
ing to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP). When pumping
ammable liquids the operational safety regulation and
the following points have to be observed:
1. Only use pump tubes with PTB number and lettering
Zone 0 IIA T4.
2. Only use PTFE stators and stator sleeves marked
with PTB-No. for ammable liquids.
3. Only use explosion proof drive motors.
4. Electric connection in explosion hazard areas only
with explosion proof plug or explosion proof termi-
nal box.
5. Connect the equipotential bonding between pump
tube and container before starting operation.
6. Use conductive pressure hoses and conductive hose
connections.
7. The drum pump must not be employed for non-
mobile operation.
8. The pump must not be left unattended while in op-
eration.
9. The pump may only be repaired by the manufac-
turer or a duly authorized repair shop. Only use
genuine Lutz replacement parts.
The national accident prevention regulations must be
observed without fail.
