Additional Safety Rules for Area Lights
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place
anything next to or on top of the lens during or after
operation of thelight.
CAUTION: Only use area light on stable surface. Do
not raise above work space/personnel via lifting,
hoisting, mounting, orsuspension.
CAUTION: Do not put any magnets near the ON/
OFF switch. The light could be turned on by a strong
magnet near the area light’sswitch.
• Risk of electric shock. Do not expose to rain.
Storeindoors.
• Do not submerge area light in anyliquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for theirsafety.
• Before using area light, read all instructions
and cautionary markings on area light, charger
andbattery.
• Store the area light indoors when not in use. Keep out
of reach ofchildren.
• Make sure extension cord is located so that it will not
be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected
to damage orstress.
• Use only a proper extension cord that is necessary to
operate the area light on AC power (refer to Use of
Extension Cords with Area Light). Use of an improper
extension cord could result in risk of fire, electric shock,
orelectrocution.
• A proper extension cord will be marked with the
suffix letter "W" and with a tag stating "Suitable for
Use with Outdoor Appliances."
• Place the area light away from any heatsource.
• Do not disassemble area light. Take it to an authorized
service center when service or repair is required. Incorrect
reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock,
electrocution orfire.
• Disconnect the area light from the outlet before
attempting any cleaning. This will reduce the risk of
electric shock. Removing the battery pack will not reduce
thisrisk.
• Use type SJW, SJOW, SJTW, SJTOW, SW, SOW, STW
and STOW cord when operating the Area light on
ACpower.

Specific Safety Rules for Lights

WARNING: When using the light, basic precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

not charge the light outside of the temperature range
specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or
at temperatures outside of the specified range may
damage the battery and increase the risk offire.
WARNING: Do not expose the light to fire or excessive
temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above
265°F (or130°C) may causeexplosion.
WARNING: Under abusive conditions, liquid may
be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected
from the battery may cause irritation orburns.

b ) To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is
necessary when a light is used nearchildren.
c ) To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put
light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store
light where it can fall or be pulled into a tub orsink.
d ) Only use attachments recommended or sold by
themanufacturer.
e ) Turn the light off when not inuse.
f ) Do not operate any light after it malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return light to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
g ) To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF
position, then remove plug fromoutlet.
h ) Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug,
grasp the plug, not thecord.
i ) Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
servicing orcleaning.
j ) Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the light has received
a sharp blow, malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return light to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair, or
electrical or mechanicaladjustment.
k ) Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer torecharge.
