What to do if fluid will not flow through Macnaught Measuring Instruments?
- BBryce WilsonAug 4, 2025
If fluid isn't flowing through your Macnaught Measuring Instruments, several factors could be at play. Start by checking for any foreign matter blocking the rotors; if present, dismantle the meter and clean the rotors, ensuring a strainer is fitted in line. Also, inspect the line strainer for blockages and clean it if necessary. Damaged rotors can also halt flow, so replace them, again ensuring a strainer is fitted. Over-tightened meter connections can restrict flow, so readjust them. Finally, verify that the fluid's viscosity is within the specifications for your instrument; if it's too viscous, consult the specifications for the maximum viscosity.
