Ignition
The ignition lock is for switching the ignition on/off and starting/
stopping the engine.

Make sure that the transmission is shifted to the “Neutral”
position and the gas pedal is not operated.
X Turn the ignition key to position I.
X Wait until the control light of the preheater control is off.
X Turn the ignition key to position III.
3 The engine starts.
X Release the ignition key.
3 The ignition key goes automatically to position I.

(all electrical loads are switched off, ignition key can be
withdrawn)
I MT is ready for operation
(ignition is on, electrical loads such as radio, two-way
radio are on, warning and control lights active)
Engine preheating

III Activates the starter
