Engine coolant level

The warning light is on the combination display instrument.
During ignition, the warning light lights up for several seconds
and then goes out.
If the warning light remains on after ignition or goes on during
operation, then the engine coolant level in the equalising
reservoir is too low.
The engine shuts off automatically.
Check the cooling system for external leaks.
Allow the motor to cool a little before you refill the
coolant. The engine coolant level has to be between
the “MIN” and “MAX” marks when the MT is parked,
standing horizontally level.
If the warning light illuminates frequently within a short
period, have the cause for the warning inspected by a
qualified garage promptly to avoid engine damage.
Press the “Bypassing the safety switch-off” button in
order to move the MT out of the danger zone in the
case of an emergency, see “Bypassing the engine's
safety switch-off” on page 54.
