The Magic Chef Built-In Range Oven is designed for cooking and baking within recreational vehicles (RVs) or similar cabinet structures. It features a cooktop with multiple burners and an oven, providing versatile cooking capabilities. The appliance operates on propane gas and requires a 12V DC electrical connection for ignition and lighting.

Usage Features:

The range oven includes a glass cover, grill, burners, backlight, oven control knob, ignition knob, top burner control knobs, and an oven door.

  • Top Burner Operation:
    • Can be lit using either match lighting or electronic ignition.
    • For match lighting, turn the burner knob to LITE, then immediately place a burning match or butane lighter near the burner ports.
    • For electronic ignition, turn the burner knob to LITE and repeatedly turn the ignition knob clockwise until the burner lights.
    • Flame size can be adjusted by turning the burner control knob.
    • Always ensure the top cover is open when the main burner is in operation.
    • Avoid using oversized cookware or leaving empty utensils on hot burners to prevent damage.
  • Oven Operation:
    • Can be lit using either match lighting or electronic ignition.
    • For match lighting, open the oven door, push and turn the oven control knob to LITE, then place a burning match or lighter near the oven burner ports. Hold the knob for 5 seconds after the pilot lights.
    • For electronic ignition, open the oven door, push and turn the oven control knob to LITE, and repeatedly rotate the ignition button clockwise until the burner lights. Hold the knob for 5 seconds after the pilot lights.
    • The oven pilot is factory set and requires no further adjustment.
    • To turn off, rotate the oven control knob clockwise to the OFF position.
  • Safety Features:
    • An anti-tip device must be installed to prevent the appliance from tipping.
    • Gas leak checks are mandatory before operation, using a leak detection solution (soapy water) and never an open flame.
    • The appliance must be electrically grounded.
