The axial probe has a Hall sensor, that is mounted perpendicularly to the probe axis. It measures
fields that are parallel to the probe axis. A typical application is the measurement in a solenoid
coil. The surface field probe is used to measure the field strength on the surface of magnetized
foils.
A surface field probe is shaped like a little stamp. The Hall sensor is mounted in the center of
the lower surface. The surface field probe is used for measuring the field strength on the surface
of magnetized foils.
