ITEM
EXPLANATION
Binaural
presentation
The option to present the words to both ears at the same time.
When menu option is On, B (i.e. binaural) is a selection option
with the L/R key. When menu option Off is selected, binaural
selection is not available from L/R key selection.
Show picture
Set On/Off to show/hide picture of the test word on the display.
NOTE: When this setting is On verify the child is unable to see the
display screen.
Show results
Results table displays within the PILOT TEST screen when this
setting is On.
Fast PILOT TEST
Set On to start the test at 25 dB rather than at 50 dB.
Pause length
Pause length between the test sentences can be set between 1 s
and 20 s. Default length is 3 s.
Print Size
Selection is between Short where only numerical data will print
or with Pictures where the test word picture is shown. A
checkmark ✓ is displayed if the examiner scored a correct
response. See Section 5.4.2 for more information.
Show Group 0
When set On, an additional Group 0 is available. This is a
conditioning group where all words are presented at 50 dB.
Output (Air
Conduction/
Free Field)
Output selection with headphones or Free Field. Free field allows a
speaker (optional accessory) to be connected and is useful during
the conditioning of the test process. This allows the child to hear the
signal along with the examiner during training. Once testing starts,
free field should not be used for presentation.
