Fuel system
The fuel is delivered by a primary fuel supply pump via the fuel filter to the distributor in-
jection pump.
The fuel is sprayed into the cylinder through four-hole nozzles fitted in screw-fit injectors
in the cylinder heads.
Excessive fuel delivered and leak fuel from the injectors flows through the return pipe to
the tank.

Injection pump
The in-line injection pump is driven from the crankshaft via gears. It is connected to the
force-feed lubricating system of the engine and consequently maintenance-free. The
centrifugal governor attached to the pump by a flange is mechanical variable speed gov-
ernor or a low-idle / maximum speed governor.
Fuel filters
Before entering the suction chamber of the injection pump, the fuel is cleaned in a paral-
lel box filter.
